Bhutanese Association in the Northern Territory
About BANT
Serving and strengthening the Bhutanese community across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
Our Story
BANT History and Background
The Bhutanese Association in the Northern Territory (BANT) was formed to unite Bhutanese residents in Darwin and across the NT under one supportive platform. As more Bhutanese families settled in the region, community members recognized the need for an organized association to preserve culture, support newcomers, and strengthen social ties. Inspired by the spirit of service and togetherness that Bhutanese communities carry worldwide, BANT has grown into a trusted community body. Today, it plays a key role in cultural celebrations, youth engagement, family support, and collaboration with the wider Northern Territory community.
